The foundation of Sigma Builders is built on over four decades of trust, engineering excellence, and real estate experience. The journey began with Mr. Sethupathy, a civil engineer and proud alumnus of the prestigious National Institute of Technology, Trichy, who founded Empire Shelters and Space Pvt. Ltd. With a vision for quality development, he led the company for more than 40 years, promoting landmark apartment projects across Chennai's prime residential areas, Adyar, Anna Nagar, Kodambakkam, T. Nagar, Perungudi, Sholinganallur, Karapakkam, and beyond.
The company earned the good will of countless homebuyers, many of whom returned to invest for their children and referred their extended families with confidence. Nine years ago, the second-generation Mr. Rengadurai stepped in, an architect by profession, and joined the business to carry forward the legacy with a fresh vision and a service-first mindset. While continuing to promote apartments, a consistent request began to emerge from previous clients: They wanted help constructing their homes. To protect that long-standing trust, Sigma started to accept building projects from scratch to final key handover.
Sigma Builders was born out of two hard truths we couldn’t ignore. First, while building apartments, we earned the trust of serious investors. Many of them came back to us, not only for another apartment, but also to ask: “Can you help build my home?“
At first, we declined and recommended that they go with other contractors. But those same clients returned mid of the project frustrated, helpless, and often financially drained after facing delays, cost overruns, poor quality, and zero accountability..
Secondly, as young architects, we were passionate about great design. We understand the client's requirements first and come up with a beautiful design, clear details, and excellent execution. As a rule, at any point, we never compromise the quality.
